Caretaker to appear in court over assault allegations against elderly in Oceanside

A male caretaker in an Oceanside hospice facility is expected to appear in court over allegations that he threw a female elderly through a screen door, reported a June 10 article appearing in the Times of San Diego.

According to reports, 66-year-old William Sutton is expected to appear in court on August 30 after allegedly attacking 93-year-old Margaret Wood. A relative of the elderly, identified as Lisa Wood, notified law enforcement after seeing an April 16 video of Margaret being pushed by Sutton through the door of resident Marian Kubic, who happens to be Margaret’s friend. Margaret reportedly sustained head and nose injuries from the incident after she fell on a concrete porch. Kubic, 92, died in May after providing statements in the initial court hearing against Sutton. Wood is currently assisted by a wheelchair.
