Bicyclist injured in San Marcos drunk driving crash

A teenage bicyclist recently sustained multiple injuries in San Marcos, California after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident caused by a suspected drunk driver.

According to reports coming from sheriff’s deputies, a 13-year-old bicyclist  was struck by a vehicle at 8:30 p.m. on May 30 at the intersection of Hollenbeck Road and Capalina Road. The boy, whose name was withheld, sustained several non-life-threatening injuries to his face and upper body, as well as a broken hand. The driver attempted to leave the crash scene but was quickly found after authorities were informed of the vehicle’s description and license plate number. The driver was identified as a 22-year-old man who will face multiple criminal charges.
